Creating takes courage. I feel a restless desire to instigate a change in the way people think, so it’s always a risk to put ideas to paper. Yet I am a man of deep, enduring faith, and I believe that change is not only possible, but necessary. The World of Devera is a mirror for all of us to reflect on the world we live in, and how it might be better if we would love each other, be kind to one another, and consider the merits of views that differ from our own. That’s what my characters do, and I hope you experience love and joy like they do.

In addition to writing books, I have been an educator for more than 30 years. I also write music and poetry. My beloved and I are happily married. We have two adult sons who fill my heart with joy and pride. I enjoy photography, 3D art, hiking and gardening. I am a devout Christian who is enthusiastic about social justice, sustainability, science, history and music.
