Little Girl Lost

A man’s dark secrets rise from the ashes of his past to put him in the crosshairs of a corrupt police detective and a small town whipped into a frenzy by a reckless media storm.

Five-year-old Cyndi Luchak has vanished from her mother’s Bergsburg, Ohio condo and the prime suspect is Paul Schneider, once a beloved schoolteacher now relegated to working an overnight IT helpdesk job. An “incident” with a student at his former school has made Schneider a virtual hermit who rarely interacts with his neighbors other than Cyndi’s mother, Gretchen, and the little girl, for whom he occasionally babysits.

Though lacking any evidence linking Schneider to Cyndi’s disappearance, Detective Rick Ross is convinced there’s something "hinky" about the ex-teacher and he’s desperate to prove it, even if it means breaking the law he’s sworn to uphold.

Ross’s ambitions are bigger than Bergsburg. He covets the state’s top cop job and cracking the case of a cute blonde-haired little girl is just the ticket he needs to leapfrog over more seasoned and more deserving, colleagues.

But in his haste to leave Bergsburg in his rearview mirror, Ross overlooks another sinister suspect with his own troubled history, a man with an unhealthy obsession with Cyndi and her mother.

These three men will ultimately meet in a violent confrontation in which only one will survive.
