Carmelo Pinzón was not a hero, nor a brilliant politician, nor a revolutionary. Just a man with enough money and insufficient common sense. But in San Tiburcio del Sur, that was enough to found a kingdom, crown himself sovereign, and begin to rule amid absurd decrees, ridiculous banquets, and increasingly shady business deals.
