Murder at the Come On Inn

Murder at the Come On Inn is book one of the Jeremy Pendelton Murder Series.

After leaving the big city following the tragic death of his fiance, Jeremy Pendelton finds his way to False River, a small town in Louisiana where he takes a room in the Come On Inn, a room where John Flannery was recently found dead in his bed.

Jeremy is soon befriended by a reporter for the town's weekly newspaper who suspects foul play in Flannery's demise, and seeks Jeremy's assistance as an inside man in uncovering the truth. The residents of the Inn are an odd group of characters, except for Polly. Their mutual love of literature draw Polly and Jeremy into a romantic relationship.

There were many suspects including the owner of the Inn, a resident who is a nazis sympathizer and a crooked Chief of Police. Jeremy and his buddy ultimately solve the case. In the process, they help to reform the False River Police Department.
