What inspired you to start writing?
My doctor said I would be lucky to live another 3 months, all due to 50 years of Cocaine and meth addiction

Can you tell us a little about your latest book?
It's the story of my life, and what sent me down the road of self-destruction.

How do you create your characters?
Every character was real

What does your typical writing day look like?
I would wake up at 4 am for some strange reason, have a cup of coffee, and start writing everything I could remember about my life. The funny thing is, I always hated waking up early until I retired and started writing, now, I wake up at 4:00 am to 4:30 am, and have no idea why.

What has been the most rewarding part of being an indie author?
When people tell me that they want to write a book, I always tell them just to sit down and start typing, and you will improve as you write. I rewrote my book 3 times over a year, but I took a lot of breaks, but finally finished it

What’s one challenge you’ve faced in your writing journey?
It was hard to come up with the money to publish it when you're retired and living on $1,200.00 a month, but I found a payment plan.

Do you have any favorite writing tools or apps?
I couldn't have done it without Grammarly, and I didn't know how to type or spell that well.

What advice would you give to new or aspiring indie authors?
I don't know about most people, but I didn't get it right the first or second time, and actually wanted to quit, but I refused to give up my dream of becoming an Author.

How do you handle book promotion as an indie author?
After being scammed 3 times and losing $10,000.00, I finally found a Publisher I could trust to do my Marketing.

What’s next for you? Are you working on a new book?
My next book will be called Sequel To My Success, but I have to become successful first, lol. So I'm also working on marketing an Invention I have, and who knows what will happen, you never know until you try.
