What inspired you to start writing?
I started when I was in elementary school. My parents taught me a love of reading and I found I liked to write, so I wrote a lot of really random stuff just because.
-
Can you tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest novel is called Second Chances. It starts off in 2020, as 47 year old Nathan wishes he could change things starting at around 13. His parents also get a chance to do the same because his mom and dad never dealt with mom's mental illness, which affected their kids. They discover they're in 1987 and go about changing things, whether for the better or for the worse, we find out.
-
How do you create your characters?
For Second Chances, I kind of very loosely based it on me and my folks.
-
Do you have any favorite writing tools or apps?
I just use Word, which I've used for over 20 years.
-
What advice would you give to new or aspiring indie authors?
Being an indie author requires lots and lots and lots of patience.
-
What’s next for you? Are you working on a new book?
I want to add a sequel to my historical fiction novel, The Long Journey. I also want to finish the last two novels in my series, The Library Saga.
