Why did you write Dormant Angels?
“I always had in my mind that I wanted to leave at least one book that would be part of my background and my life, something to be remembered by, maybe. Not just for myself because this book has a lot of spiritual inspiration as you go through it. I put a lot into this book. Seven days of the week, five, six, or more hours every single day just to get it done.”

But why write such a thought-provoking story?
“Life is full of controversy. Religious and political beliefs have always divided mankind. The Catholic Church, like all human institutions, has changed through time. And like all human institutions, the church has never been perfect, but today, what matters is the message of unity and brotherhood that it is putting forward. No matter what religion that you are or who you profess to be, the most important thing should be to get along with each other and to respect and love each other.”

What really motivated you to write this kind of novel/story?
“Author Dan Brown. After reading all his novels I woke up one day and realized that certain elements in his work went hand in hand with my spirituality. Like anybody else living today, spirituality is a work in progress. I was especially motivated because of what was happening to me at the time. My sick brother, who lived with me, had been suffering with cancer for some time. It was also a big emotional struggle because my wife, sick with Alzheimer’s, required constant attention. In the middle of all this, I found solace in my writing.

What did you enjoy most about writing Dormant Angels?
"Writing in the style of Dan Brown was not an easy task, however, I did enjoy doing all the research that it took to bring about very realistic scenarios blurring the fictitious world with the factual one."
-
Would you like readers to have any specific takeaway from your book?
"My book is a vision, a reflection, I would say, of what is happening today worldwide. The military conflicts, the upheavals of society, the religious persecutions... Even the threats to freedom of speech. Have faith in God but be prepared for the worst."

What can readers of Dormant Angels expect to encounter along the way?
“Readers of Dormant Angels will journey through layers of mystery, spiritual awakening, and historical intrigue. Along the way, they’ll encounter secret societies, ancient prophecies, and psychological twists that challenge what we think we know about faith, mortality, and truth. It’s not just a thriller — it’s a puzzle woven through time, inviting readers to question the boundaries between the seen and unseen, the sacred and the political. Expect moments of tension, revelation, and reflection that linger long after the final page.”
-
As a writer, do you think that you have been faithful to Dan Brown's writing style and why is it so?
“In spirit, yes, but with my own lens. Like Dan Brown, I weave together historical mystery, religious symbolism, and psychological tension. Dormant Angels shares that layered architecture: puzzles, secrets, and revelations that unfold across time. But stylistically, I lean more into spiritual introspection and emotional depth. Where Brown often drives the plot with relentless pace and cryptographic urgency, I allow a little space for reflection, for characters to wrestle with faith, mortality, and identity. So, while readers may feel echoes of Brown’s thematic DNA, they’ll also find a distinct rhythm; one shaped by my own experiences and the questions I felt compelled to explore.”

What advice would you share for aspiring and emerging authors and writers?
"For aspiring authors and writers, endeavor to settle on a routine for your writing and stick to it. Writing should come not only from the brain but from the heart as well. Try to find inspiration from your own life. If you bump into writer's block, take a break for a day or two and get back to it with fresh eyes. If you admire an author's writing, take time to re-read some of the most compelling passages to you. Don't rush it, true inspiration takes time."
