What inspired you to start writing?
I have always has a passion for reading and have felt an overwhelming call to start writing. I began nearly ten years ago but just recently decided to start sharing my stories.

Can you tell us a little about your latest book?
My most recent book is called Indigo 5 and falls into the SciFi genre, but is truly more of a drama that takes place in this futuristic world. It is about a man who suffers trauma after trauma and is desperate to escape his pain, only to find that it does not matter how far he runs, his pain follows him.

How do you create your characters?
I have found creating the characters to be easy but rewarding. When you have been on this planet long enough, you have met enough people to have plenty to draw from! The hard part is knowing they are only real on the pages and in the minds of the readers.

What does your typical writing day look like?
I am a very task-driven person. I have set activities, including writing, that I hold myself to every day in order to meet my personal objectives. Much of this revolves around marketing and planning as much as it does actually writing.

What has been the most rewarding part of being an indie author?
Being an Indie author is quite rewarding. It feels similar to be a business owner, where you get to make all the decisions and see the fruits of your labor when you have success.

What’s one challenge you’ve faced in your writing journey?
Biggest challenge as a new author is publicity. Getting your book out there is challenging and takes a great deal of work.

Do you have any favorite writing tools or apps?
Grammarly is a lifesaver. I thought I had a good command of the language until I started using this app.

What advice would you give to new or aspiring indie authors?
Plan your marketing way in advance of your launch!

How do you handle book promotion as an indie author?
Promote everywhere... all the time. Consistency is key!

What’s next for you? Are you working on a new book?
The next book to be leased is called To Finish a Feud and is book one of an ongoing FBI/paranormal set of stories.
