What inspired you to write a chldren's book?
I always enjoyed books by Dr. Suess, C.S. Lewis, and J R R Tolkien, and I thought maybe I could do it. I took a correspendence class in writing children's stories. I learned it is not easy.
-
So which of those author's inspired you the most?
That's not a question with an easy answer. I suppose my writing most resembles Dr. Suess, but they all had in influence on my writing. I also took some ideas frank Baum author of the Wizard of Oz.

Why a story about winter.
I got the idea when my daughter was around six or seven years old. It was an unusally warm winter and there was no snow. I thought what if winter never came. That was the seed for the story.
-
Are there any other stories coming? ThatLate.
As a matter of fact there are. I've titled the series The Year of the Late Seasons with The Year Spring Came Late, The Year Summer Came Late, and The Year Fall Came Late with each following the same theme pattern as The Year Winter Came Late.
-
When do you expect your story to be published?
The Year Winter Came Late is available now and I hope if sales of the Year Winte Came Late pick up I can get the other stories published within the next two years.
-
What age group is The Year Winter Came Late geared toward?
I personally see The Year Winter came late as read to story geared toward 5 - 11 years olds. That is teachers reading it to their students, librarians reading it to children and of course parents reading it to their child. It has themes that can be usd for discussion like forgiveness, friendship, and trust.
