What inspired you to start writing?
I had always inspired to write a novel. But never could find the time. After I retired from American Airlines, I suddenly had all the time in the world.
-
Can you tell us a little about your latest book?
The Abduction Chronicles is a story based on some of my true life events, blended with my vivid imagination. After I wrote my memoirs (The Comeback Kid), I got to thinking "what if my ex-wife was right"? She had always claimed we had been abducted by aliens during our brief marriage. I never believed her. Low and behold, "The Abduction Chronicles" story popped into my head.

How do you create your characters?
From real life persons.

Some days exciting. Some days panicking. Some days relaxing.......
-
What has been the most rewarding part of being an indie author?
Freedom to do as I please. But I have to own all my mistakes.
-
What’s one challenge you’ve faced in your writing journey?
Marketing.....it's a bitch. Especially putting up with all the different sales pitches. Everyone seems to have the perfect marketing solution.
-
Do you have any favorite writing tools or apps?
I tend to stay away from them as much as possible. I'm old fashion, so I am not familiar with most.
-
What advice would you give to new or aspiring indie authors?
Do not expect to become a best selling author overnight.
-
How do you handle book promotion as an indie author?
At first, I relied on advice of some promotional companies, but eventually discovered most are a waste of money.
-
What’s next for you? Are you working on a new book?
Isn't there always a sequel?
-
what was your writing style?
Glad you asked. My story is written in a conversation memoir style. You will not read hardly any books written this way. Also, the reader gets to determine what parts of the story are actually true versus what parts are my imagination. Makes for an entertaining read.
