I’m Cynthia Dawn, creator of the EthiaVerse, an ever-expanding soft science fiction universe where interstellar civilizations, ancient mysteries, political intrigue, and extraordinary abilities come together to tell stories that span generations and galaxies.
I’ve always loved asking “what if?” What if humanity wasn’t alone? What if history stretched far beyond what we remember? What if science and wonder could exist side by side? Those questions eventually grew into the EthiaVerse, a universe that continues to expand with every new novel, character, and Codex entry.
Although each series explores a different corner of the universe, they all connect to a larger story. My goal has always been to create a world that readers can return to again and again, discovering something new each time they visit.
When I’m not writing, you’ll usually find me editing the next chapter, reading just about anything I can get my hands on, painting, practicing yoga, or wandering through nature with a good cup of tea waiting for me when I get home.

What inspired you to start writing?
Reading. It has always been one of my favorite past times, and after years of reading just about everything I could get my hands on, I decided I wanted to try it myself. I started out with short stories, and eventually gravitated to novels. Long series are my favorite reads, and that is why I now work on the EthiaVerse. It's fun creating a large epic world.

Can you tell us a little about your latest book?
Right now I am working on Hidden Empires. It's the fourth book in the Adar saga, and it's main focus is him being presented to the Empire as the Emperor's successor. It's been a lot of fun bringing Adar into the Empire. Someone who grew up on Earth, not knowing that he was heir to an Empire. We get to see the Empire from his point of view as he slowly makes this major identity change.
