David Casentini lives in Half Moon Bay, California with his wife Lauren and their two girls, Renee and Elisa. In addition to Renee and Elisa, David and Lauren have two grown children, Bianca and Jason, along with four grandchildren, Chloe, Mila, Conor and Aubrey. A native of the Bay Area, David is a graduate of San Francisco State University. David has always enjoyed writing and supporting child development through various community outreach and educational opportunities. David wants to help children develop the confidence, compassion, curiosity and character to become the people they want to be.

What inspired you to start writing?
I was inspired by my two daughters when they were young to write about what I believe are things that matter for children...how to set a goal, work towards a goal, how to build confidence, believe in yourself, and basically know that you are loved and have the strength and courage to go after your dreams and become the person you want to be.

Can you tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest book, Ella's Journey, is about a young girl who feels a bit lost not knowing how to get from "here to there" and questioning what it takes to succeed in life. She's greeted by a mystical figure in a dream who takes her and her dog Bo on a journey of discovery, learning about four key pillars that can help build character and lead to a joyful and fulfilling life.
