About
Ellen Crume lives in Oregon’s beautiful Willamette Valley, where the landscapes that surround her often find their way into the pages of her novels. Her writing reflects a deep appreciation for atmosphere, place, and the quiet details that bring a story to life.
She draws inspiration from the timeless works of Bram Stoker and Charlotte Brontë, as well as the grace and enduring style of Audrey Hepburn. Blending classic literary influence with a love of vintage glamour, her stories carry a sense of nostalgia, warmth, and emotional depth.
With a spirit of curiosity and a love for adventure, Ellen finds inspiration in her travels, especially in the English countryside, where history and beauty seem to linger in every corner.
When she isn’t writing, she enjoys spoiling her grandchildren, spending time with her furry companions, and volunteering at the Pacific Northwest Truck Museum and the Salem Public Library.
Stories Grow Here… quietly, stubbornly, and in the dark… until they bloom.

What inspired you to start writing?
Strangely, I had an extreme allergic reaction to medication, and the need to get my story out was overwhelming. Something I could no longer wait and linger on, year after year.
