What inspired you to start writing?
I started writing as a kid. Short stories after reading classics from Mark Twain, Sir Walter Scott, Dickens, plus many others.

Can you tell us a little about your latest book?
I have just had 2 books published in India by Pharos Books, New Delhi. 1) a Üsycho Thriller called Mary's Little Lambs. it was Nr1 in the Amazon.com.in thriller list for a short period- A serial killer with a difference, a sexually abused girl who seeks revenge in an ice-cold-brutal-cold-blooded manner without any from of remorse. 2) My Autobiography called: The Life of a Manchester United Fan. A parallel bio from 1957 to the present with my life's experiences and my passion, following Manchester United FC

How do you create your characters?
They just plop into my head and from the original idea, the rest just flows.

What does your typical writing day look like?
During winter, autumn and spring, ate least 4 hours a day, in the summer less, I love being outside.

What has been the most rewarding part of being an indie author?
Getting 13 books published by traditional publishers.

What’s one challenge you’ve faced in your writing journey?
Getting publishers to support my books in the marketing process, the modern publishing world is for small publishers and unknown authors a BATTLE due to the costs involved.

What advice would you give to new or aspiring indie authors?
Never give up and let family members or honest friends review and help edit your manuscripts before pitching to publishers, very important. Moreover, if you have the finance employ a pro editor to read and correct the initial drafts. Mistakes will always happen.

How do you handle book promotion as an indie author?
The typical social-media forums, E-Mailing to bookshops, and using professional book-promoting forums. (but research them before wasting your money)

What’s next for you? Are you working on a new book?
Yes, my latest project is a further episode on my 'Erskine Quint Trilogy' part 4, plus a sequel to my psycho thriller called "Mary's Revenge and Retribution" subtitle (In Honour of a dear friend)
